Serve with Us
One of the greatest callings we have as Christians is to be servants (Romans 12:1; Mark 10:45; 1 Peter 4:10-11; Galatians 5:13-14; Mark 9:34-35). We are to serve God with our life and serve others as well. At Smithtown Gospel Tabernacle, we strive to create spaces for our congregation and guests to receive from God but also to pour out to others. Below you will see some opportunities to say “Yes!” to serving others. Every opportunity is different in regards to time commitment and qualifications, so please check out the individual ministries and pray that the Lord will lead you to where to connect! We’re so excited to serve with you!
Welcome Team
Our Welcome Team here at SGT serves with the conviction that the “Sermon” starts in the Parking Lot. Our vision is to introduce guests to the person of Jesus through biblical hospitality from the moment they cross the threshold of the parking lot and find their seat in the pews, to the moment they leave. Creative Media
Technology has evolved the way that we engage, disciple, and reach people. Our goal is to use livestreaming technology to connect our church family to our Sunday services from out of town college campuses to mission fields, military bases, and nursing homes! No prior experience is necessary to join.
Student Life Ministry
Scripture instructs us to “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” (Prov. 22:6.) Our volunteers get the opportunity every week to watch the Lord transform the lives of our students and see the Spirit at work in the lives of the next generation! We hope you will consider partnering with us in Sunday children’s church, Center Youth, Royal Rangers, or Missionettes in this great call to disciple our church’s students.
