Worship FAQ's

Worship at Smithtown Gospel Tabernacle

Our goal is to have the Bible as our source of pattern for worship. The Bible makes it very clear that worship is more than the songs we sing; it is the life we live. Worship incorporates our attitudes and actions; our beliefs and behavior; our creed and conduct. Basically, it is the song of one's life sung from the heart.

Moreover, worship is also expressed through singing songs of praise. The Bible in Ephesians 5:18, 19 describes both a structured and spontaneous expression of singing. It is both celebratory and jubilant as well as reflective and meditative. It incorporates hymns, traditional songs and contemporary choruses. This blended expression of singing captures the heart of biblical songs of praise. Here at SGT we truly desire to glorify God in spirit and in truth, incorporating sensitivity and order in our expression of worship.

The following will give you some information about our Church and explain the different expressions of worship during our service.

Let us worship the Lord!
